Peter Laurence is on a high after winning a libel case against a newspaper that accused him of corruption. But he's brought back down to earth when he discovers he may have a daughter in prison.

Peter defies Dawn by announcing he will shake up the prison system. Inside Shephill, Rose and Steff are questioned by prison director HJ Keane, who wants to know why Peter was visiting.

In Shephill, Steff dies of an overdose. Rose is furious that untrained prison guard Bryony couldn't save Steff and demands justice from HJ Keane.
