My Lovely Liar

Mok Sol-hee, "Liar Hunter", has a special ability to distinguish between truth and lies. She runs a secretive tarot café where she receives requests from VIPs who need her ability. One day, top composer Kim Do-ha, hiding from a dating scandal, moves into her neighborhood. When he's nearly exposed, Sol-hee helps him—but Do-ha, recognizing her from five years ago.

In a moment of crisis, Do-ha escapes the situation with Sol-hee's help. Now, Do-ha remembers Sol-hee, whom he briefly met five years ago in his hometown, and is anxious about whether she recognizes him. Unfortunately, the two end up as next-door neighbors. Sol-hee grows curious about Do-ha, who avoids people and never lies. Sol-hee receives a new request.

As Sol-hee learns Do-ha's real identity, she feels sorry for Do-ha, who always hides himself under a mask. Do-ha avoids her, as he's afraid that Sol-hee will recognize him. Since Sol-hee misunderstands that he’s avoiding home because of her, she tries to apologize. While Do-ha starts to get curious about Sol-hee, a suspicious man appears, claiming to be Do-ha's friend.

To protect Do-ha, Sol-hee pretends to be his girlfriend. They finally get to know each other’s real names, but Sol-hee begins to doubt Do-ha's honesty. Oddly, her lie-detecting ability doesn’t react to him, so Sol-hee begins to wonder if her ability doesn't work for Do-ha. She tries to induce him to tell a lie, and suddenly, an urgent phone call comes in from someone looking for Do-ha. 

Do-ha falls ill after saving Shaon from the ocean. Sol-hee nurses him, but his past trauma surfaces and he lashes out, hurting her. Their relationship becomes awkward again. Though she realizes he’s not her fated match, she remains unsettled—especially when Do-ha disappears without a word, and someone claiming to be him uploads a video exposing himself. 

As a token of gratitude, Do-ha treats Sol-hee to a nice meal, eventually creating a subtle dating atmosphere. The two get closer with the help of alcohol, having a deep conversation together. That night, Sol-hee gets drunk and makes a big mistake. Meanwhile, Eom-ho, out of prison, threatens to expose Do-ha’s identity to Deuk-chan.

Sol-hee confesses to Do-ha about her ability to hear lies, but soon regrets it. However, Do-ha has no response to it, despite her worries, which makes Sol-hee wonder what he truly thinks of her. Meanwhile, as Do-ha's feelings for Sol-hee grow deeper, he decides to reveal his secret to her. 

Sol-hee hears from Shaon that Do-ha has killed someone before. What seemed like a lie turned out to be true, and Sol-hee began to question Do-ha as she looked up Do-ha's case online. Do-ha decides to leave Yeonseo-dong after learning that Sol-hee believes he is a murderer. Meanwhile, Eom-ho, who suspects Do-ha of being "Kim Seung-joo", begins digging into his background.

Do-ha confides in Sol-hee about what really happened to him and Um-ji five years ago. Sol-hee realizes why Do-ha's words, "I didn't kill her," sounded like a lie. They spend the night together, growing closer. Meanwhile, Kang-min is shocked after seeing a video about the disappearance case that happened in Hakcheon.

Do-ha confronts Eom-ho, confessing he didn’t kill Um-ji. However, Eom-ho doesn’t believe him and threatens him with a knife, but Kang-min, who followed behind Do-ha, saved him as Kang-min suspects Do-ha to be the real culprit of the Hakcheon incident. He warns Do-ha to stay away from Sol-hee. Meanwhile, preparations begin for the Yeonseo-dong Festival.

Human remains are discovered in the hills of Hakcheon. Detective Kwak, who has a hunch that it was the remains of Um-ji, who died five years ago, secretly hides a ring found at the scene. Kang-min notices something suspicious and contacts a forensic lab. Meanwhile, Do-ha, who was having a comfortable and happy time thanks to Sol-hee, is shocked after receiving a call.

The incident of Eom-ho's attack gets on the news because of Reporter Oh. Reporter Oh reveals that composer Kim Do-ha is actually Kim Seung-joo, a suspect in the Hakcheon case. As reporters swarm the hospital, Do-ha, who has changed from before, confidently declares his innocence in front of the reporters.—and vows to find the real killer.

Do-ha and Sol-hee go to Hakcheon to investigate. Yong-guk is arrested, but the case gets more tangled. Sol-hee spots Jae-chan fleeing and chases him after recalling one of his lies. Meanwhile, Kang-min goes to meet a witness using a clue he got from Eom-ho's notebook. Kang-min, who found something suspicious in the alibi that Do-ha previously stated, decides to meet Do-ha. 

After Jae-chan turns himself in, Do-ha is freed from the false charge of the Hakcheon Beach murder case from five years ago. However, Do-ha's mind is somehow not at ease. Sol-hee warmly comforts Do-ha. Deuk-chan invites Do-ha to the Vision Declaration ceremony to save the company, which is in crisis due to Jae-chan. Meanwhile, Sol-hee decides to interrogate Jae-chan.

After the explosion, Sol-hee loses consciousness with ringing in her ears. She is transported to the hospital and after an emergency surgery, Deuk-chan confesses his past with Um-ji to Doha and apologizes. Meanwhile, Sol-hee returns to her daily life and accepts VIP requests as usual. While she is executing the request, she faces a chaotic challenge.

Hyang-sook visits Sol-hee after spotting Tae-seop on a show and asks to meet him to hear the truth. Although Sol-hee lost her ability to hear lies, she wanted to help the two reconcile. The reunion fails to mend their rift. Meanwhile, Do-ha suggests to Ethan that they make an album together and begins a new journey as a composer.
