Naruto convinced Jiraiya to be his tutor. Jiraiya later speaks to Naruto about chakra.

Dosu Kinuta tried to assassinate Gaara but failed. Naruto signs a scroll to allow him to summon toads.

Rock Lee trains to regain his strength while Naruto finally managed to summon a tadpole with hind-legs.

Naruto’s training is taking too long and Jiraiya decides to use drastic methods.

Gamabunta does not believe Naruto can summon him. Naruto proves himself and earns Gamabunta’s respect.

Gaara reveals his intention to kill everyone and prepares to kill Naruto and Shikamaru but is stopped by Might Guy.

Hinata Hyuga reassures Naruto of his talents as Naruto makes his way to the arena.

Naruto begins his match with Neji Hyuga.

The match intensifies with Naruto creating more shadow clones but Neji uses a powerful defensive technique to block Naruto’s chakra.

Naruto draws on the demon fox’s strength and defeated Neji through the use of a shadow clone as a decoy.

Neji is taken away to recover and was told the truth of his father’s death. Shikamaru and Temari get ready to fight.

Shikamaru observes his surroundings and comes up with a plan which enables him to capture Temari with his jutsu.

Sasuke arrived at the last minute for his match with Gaara. Meanwhile, Gaara killed a pair of ninjas that are attempting to fix the match.

Sasuke bypassed Gaara’s defenses with ease but Gaara is determined to kill Sasuke.

Sasuke uses Chidori to stop Gaara’s transformation. Meanwhile, the audience is put to sleep by Kabuto Yakushi which starts the invasion of Konoha.

Gaara is being carried away to recover, with Sasuke in pursuit. Kakashi instructs Sakura to wake Naruto and Shikamaru up from genjutsu.

Kakashi summons Pakkun to help track down Sasuke. Orochimaru begins his battle with his former sensei.

Naruto, Sakura, Shikamaru and Pakkun are being followed by a group of Sound ninja while tracking down Sasuke.

The Hokage battle begins with all three Kages exchanging elemental attacks.

Orochimaru revealed his intentions to steal the body of Sasuke in order to extend his lifespan.

Orochimaru’s Kusanagi stabbed the Third in his back as he tried to seal Orochimaru’s soul. Meanwhile, Shino Aburame arrives to fight Kankuro.

Kankuro attacks Shino with his puppet causing the latter to inhale the puppet’s poison gas. Shino retaliates by directing his bugs to Kankuro.

Sasuke and Gaara resumed their match. Failed to defeat Gaara, Sasuke collapsed after using the cursed seal.

Sasuke is saved from Gaara’s attacks by Sakura and Naruto. Gaara is forced to fight Yashamaru, the only person who ever loved him.
