Monster Eater

Rude, an adventurer in the frontier city of Barona, possessed no combat abilities. His peers looked down on him, calling him a "Miasma Scavenger" with disdain. He spent his days exploring the Miasma Dungeon using his only skill, "Status Ailment Nullification"-until one day, he heard rumors of a newly discovered dungeon. As Rude prepared to set out immediately, another adventurer called out to him.

Rude joined "The Crimson Blade" as a porter, led by the adventurer Vaiell. The trek was smooth-until it wasn't. In the uncharted depths, the air grew heavy. From the shadows, an impossible nightmare emerged: a Minotaur. Its roar shook the labyrinth. It was a high-ranking foe they were never meant to face.

At the guild, Vaiell delivered the lie with a pale face. "The Minotaur killed him. Rude is dead". Fear gripped the room. But then, the doors creaked open. A heavy scent of blood and miasma flooded the hall as a shadow emerged. "Dead? That's news to me, Vaiell". It was Rude. But his eyes were no longer those of a scavenger-they were the eyes of a predator.

Trapped by a Lizardman ambush, Rude searched for a way out. His eyes caught an anomaly-one individual possessed a strange, foreign skill. At that moment, he encountered an Elf girl on the verge of being captured by Adventurer Hunters.

Five years ago, the Elf girl Elysia lost everything in the labyrinth. Her party disbanded, and she was struck by a cruel "Level-Down Curse". As her strength withered away, it was Rude, the shunned adventurer, who reached out to save her.

Rude and Elysia visited the Varonian Trout Fishery grounds. Learning that monsters had halted the supply of the city's famous delicacy, the two accepted the tavern keeper's request. They set out to clear the waters and bring back the feast.

Now a party, Rude and Elysia headed for their first quest: slaying a pack of Grey Wolves. There, Rude witnessed her true power for the first time. The strength of a former S-rank adventurer was no joke-her skill burned itself into his memory.

After defeating the powerful Baphomet and restoring peace to the village, Rude tried to use his newly gained power. But something felt wrong. He realized the source of a monster's skill wasn't the "Mana" humans use-it was hidden within the "Miasma Particles" that saturated the world.

To replace his broken sword, Rude and Elysia visited his friend, the blacksmith Doemu. At the same time, the trio of Llond, Magnus, and Rigurdo ventured into the labyrinth's deepest floor. There, they discovered a single blade radiating a sinister aura.

To save Llond from the curse, Rude faced the Cursed Blade. But its power was overwhelming, forcing him into a desperate defense. Even with Elysia joining the fray, the two remained trapped in a losing battle against the blade's sinister force.

To slay Venomdrake Steak, Rude and Elysia entered the Avelio New Labyrinth. Brandishing his new Cursed Blade, Rude felt its durability; it withstood even his Mana-saturated strikes. Confident in its hidden power, the two pushed forward-until a terrifying roar shook the entire dungeon.

With Elysia's mana depleted, Rude faced Venomdrake Steak alone. He fought brilliantly, but the dying dragon launched a desperate counterattack. Driven into a corner by its final, frantic struggle, even the "Monster Devourer" found himself on the brink.
