With the start of the third term, Ayanokoji and his classmates, who had been promoted from Class D to Class C, were heading for a special "Mixed Training Camp," a special examination held jointly with all grades. Disagreements are inevitable in this special exam that groups students from different classes that have been enemies until now.

Yukimura, the person in charge of Ayanokoji's group, was unable to organize the group well with Ishizaki, who did not cooperate with them, and Koenji, who behaved freely. Meanwhile, Ayanokoji begins to take independent action to obtain information from a certain student. Then, a conversation with Hashimoto, a student from Class A, triggers a change in the group...

Karuizawa and Hirata seem to have broken up, and while Class C is talking about it, Yamauchi receives a call from Sakayanagi from Class A. Yamauchi is elated and turns a deaf ear to Horikita's words that it is a trap. Meanwhile, Ayanokoji hears from Horikita that there are strange rumors circulating Ichinose...

On Valentine's Day, the boys in Class C are excited about whether or not they will receive chocolates from girls. Karuizawa, however, was nervous when Ayanokoji called her to meet. While talking with Ayanokoji at the meeting place, an unexpected person appears...

Ishizaki and Ibuki believe that Hashimoto was ordered by Sakayanagi to spread rumors on the bulletin board. But they have no proof and are unable to pursue the matter in depth. Then word reaches Ayanokoji and the others that Class A, with Sakayanagi as the leader of the group, is marching to Class B. Sakayanagi tells them that she has proof of Ichinose's rumor.

Class C passed the end-of-year final exam. While the air of relief was flowing in the classroom, Chabashira suddenly announced that a supplementary special exam, "Class Poll," would be conducted. The content of the exam was simple: students were to vote for three people who deserved praise votes and three people who deserved criticism votes from among their classmates.

The Class Poll was announced, and an atmosphere of disquiet enveloped Class C, which was filled with doubt and suspicion. Then, Ayanokoji hears from Asahina, a student in Class A of the 2nd year, that Ichinose has asked Student Council President Nagumo to help her with this exam. Hirata, who is concerned about the class, also asks Ayanokoji for advice on how to save everyone.

After a dialogue with her brother Manabu, Horikita gives out Yamauchi's name as someone who should be expelled from the special examination. Yamauchi has not only made a poor contribution to the class so far but also conspired to have Ayanokoji expelled by gathering votes against him. Not to mention, behind the conspiracy is the leader of Class A, Sakayanagi.

As a result of "The Class Poll," the first student to be expelled from Class C was decided. Sakayanagi says that this special exam was a stage set up to expel Ayanokoji. Then, Tsukishiro, who claims to be the acting director, appears in front of Ayanokoji and Sakayagi. Tsukishiro was sent by Ayanokoji's father. Knowing his existence, Ayanokoji offers Sakayagi a contest in the next exam.

Class C considers a variety of measures to prepare for the next special exam. However, none of them are decisive. While Ayanokoji appreciates Horikita's plan, Hirata, who is still reeling from the results of the "class poll," does not want to cooperate with the class at all. Hirata acts coldly, even to Mii, who is worried about him. And then Ayanokoji tried to talk to him.

With Hirata back on his feet and the class showing signs of cohesion, the final special exam of the year, the battle between Ayanokoji and Sakayanagi, finally commences. The first game chosen is Basketball, proposed by Class C. Horikita is annoyed at the lack of struggle from Class C, who are putting up a good fight even without Sudo.

With the result of the final special exam, Ayanokoji and his classmates were relegated back to Class D after losing to Class A. However, the students made steady progress throughout the year. Horikita, in particular, showed growth as a leader by listening to the opinions of his classmates. Horikita asked Ichinose to terminate the cooperative relationship with Class B.

Spring break arrives. Ayanokoji is summoned by Shiina to talk about a book. Meanwhile, Kanzaki from Class B appears before Ryuen, who is having a secret meeting with Hashimoto. As the students advance to their second year, the relationships among the students in this one year are about to change.
