Five years ago, Chong Ye, the Lord of the Chong Huo Palace, became renowned in the martial arts world for mastering the world's strongest martial art, 'Lotus Wings'. However, this power drove him into madness, and he accidentally killed many innocent people.

Chong Xue Zhi is thrilled when she sees the 'Nine Lotus Forms' carried by Xia Qing Mei, and the two agree to meet again at the Hero Conference. Shang Guan Tou, hired to protect Chong Xue Zhi, is entrusted with the task by others.

After learning that Shang Guan Tou is protecting her, Chong Xue Zhi starts to feel affection for him. When she returns to the inn, she cherishes the flower lantern that Shang Guan Tou gave her. The next day, Shang Guan Tou learns from a beggar selling paintings that the night the "Nine Lotus Forms" was lost, Wang Yin Ya from the Silver Whip Sect had visited Luan Duan Temple.

Fu Yi Ya takes Shang Guan Tou and Chong Xue Zhi to a secret chamber, where they find the body of Wang Yin Ya. Fu Yi Ya tells them how his senior brother was secretly killed and how, to avoid conflict within the sect, the death of Wang Yin Ya was kept hidden. He is investigating the matter in secret.

Shang Guan Tou, Chong Xue Zhi, and the others leave and meet Xue Lie and Shang Guan Zheng. Xue Lie invites them to help with disaster relief, and Chong Xue Zhi agrees readily. Xue Lie personally goes to the scene to assist, and during a crisis, he is saved by Chong Xue Zhi, who becomes highly appreciative of her.

Liuli and Gu Gu find Shang Guan Tou and inform him of Chong Xue Zhi’s plight. Shang Guan Tou immediately sets out to find her. Haitang returns to the palace to report Chong Xue Zhi’s situation to Elder Yu Wen and informs him that the "Nine Lotus Forms" has been destroyed. Mu Yuan, heartbroken, returns to the palace with the body.

In a critical moment, Shang Guan Tou appears and rescues Chong Xue Zhi. After everything is explained, Chong Xue Zhi apologizes to both of them and returns to Chong Huo Palace under Shang Guan Tou's protection. At Chong Huo Palace, Mu Yuan has completed his succession ceremony, but he decides that his first action as the new leader is to find the traitor and avenge Chong Xue Zhi.

The next day, noticing the developing relationship between Shang Guan Tou and Chong Xue Zhi, Qiu Hong Xiu warns Shang Guan Tou that if he has feelings for her, he should not hide them, but if not, he should not take advantage of Chong Xue Zhi's affections.

Chong Xue Zhi prepares a medicinal soup for Shang Guan Tou, wanting to care for him in her own way, but ends up making a mistake. She is curious about Shang Guan Tou's relationship with Lin Chang Ran, so he tells her that years ago, he was poisoned and nearly killed.

Mu Yuan arrives at Yue Shang Valley and is overjoyed to find Chong Xue Zhi alive. However, he becomes angry when he learns that Shang Guan Tou has been protecting her and nearly clashes with him. Lin Chang Ran intervenes and helps mediate, and they all agree to keep Chong Xue Zhi's survival a secret.

Shang Guan Tou, feeling sorrowful, continues to distance himself from Chong Xue Zhi. The next day, the Weapon Ranking Competition begins. In front of everyone, Hong Sheng confesses the truth. It turns out that he had long coveted the 'Lotus Wings'.

At night, Chong Xue Zhi finds Mu Yuan and offers to give him the position of Palace Lord. However, Mu Yuan refuses, explaining that he promised to assist Chong Xue Zhi. His resolve makes Chong Xue Zhi see his loyalty, and she realizes that in order not to let him down, she must become stronger.

After a conversation with his father, Shang Guan Xingzhou hands over the only relic left by Shang Guan Tou’s mother - a pair of tiger-head shoes. Shang Guan Zhen learns about the situation between Shang Guan Tou and his father and rushes to persuade Shang Guan Tou to forgive his father. However, Shang Guan Tou remains steadfast in his beliefs and ignores his sister’s advice.

Chong Xue Zhi, accompanied by Zhu Sha and Liuli, goes on an inspection trip and encounters a witch doctor who plans to burn people suffering from cold and heat diseases. Chong Xue Zhi persuades the people not to believe in witchcraft.

Upon hearing about Mu Yuan's condition, Chong Xue Zhi immediately bids farewell to Shang Guan Tou and returns to the palace. She tells Mu Yuan that she will find the cure to save him. Just then, Zhu Sha and Che Qi find a clue and suspect that the cold and heat disease may be the work of the Xuantian Hongling Temple.

Chong Xue Zhi returns to the Chong Huo Palace to care for Mu Yuan, bidding an emotional farewell to Shang Guan Tou at the crossroads. Feng She also accompanies Chong Xue Zhi back to the palace and creates a cure for the cold and heat disease, allowing Mu Yuan to recover.

Lin Chang Ran talks to Chong Xue Zhi about Shang Guan Tou, expressing concern that Shang Guan Tou’s internal injuries have not healed and hopes that Chong Xue Zhi will teach him the "Furong Heart Sutra" to help him recover his internal strength. Chong Xue Zhi, worried about Shang Guan Tou, decides to visit Yue Shang Valley to help him heal.

That night, Shang Guan Tou and Chong Xue Zhi sit by the river in Yue Shang Valley, gazing at the moon. Shang Guan Tou tells her that not only did she heal his wounds, but she also healed his heart. The two look at each other tenderly and express their feelings.

Lin Feng Zi tells her father that she has decided to marry Xia Qing Mei, and Lin Zongxing is overjoyed. Lin Chang Ran returns leisurely to Yue Shang Valley and learns that Shang Guan Tou and Chong Xue Zhi are now engaged, which makes him happy.

Lin Feng Zi confesses her feelings to Shang Guan Tou, and just as she does, Chong Xue Zhi and Yuan Shuang Shuang walk by and overhear their conversation. Yuan Shuang Shuang quickly exposes that Shang Guan Tou was once expelled from Lingjian Mountain Villa because of his involvement with Lin Feng Zi.

Lin Feng Zi apologizes to Xia Qing Mei, but Xia Qing Mei remains indifferent. Feng Cheng realizes that Huashan Sect alone cannot oppose the Chong Huo Palace, so he allies with the Emei Sect to take on the Chong Huo Palace. Shang Guan Tou returns to Yue Shang Valley and confesses to Lin Chang Ran about the misunderstanding with Lin Feng Zi at Lingjian Mountain Villa.

Chong Xue Zhi and the others arrive in Xianshan Yingzhou to investigate. They unexpectedly encounter Qian Mingyi, the leader of the Kuai Dao Sect, who forcefully proposes marriage to Qiu Hongxiu. Qian Mingyi aggressively threatens them, but Shang Guan Tou steps in and scares him off. When Shang Guan Tou and Chong Xue Zhi meet again, there is an awkward tension between them.

Lin Feng Zi and Yuan Shuang Shuang also arrive in Suzhou. Yuan Shuang Shuang seeks out Huashan Sect disciples to inquire about Feng Mo's capture. Upon learning of his arrest, Feng She, worried for his half-brother's safety, knocks him out to protect him. However, Yuan Shuang Shuang knocks out Feng She and uses him to lead Mu Yuan away, giving her the opportunity to rescue Feng Mo.
