My Star Bride

Zhong Pei Pei and her husband, Zhang Da Qian, run a dating agency. They arrange a marriage in Singapore for a Vietnamese bride, Mei Fang Cao.

In order to skimp on the medical bills, the Zhong family decides to bring Shi Jie home and Fang Cao will take care of him.

Shi Jie returns home after discharging from the hospital. His best schoolmate and colleague, Sheng Li, visits Yong Nian and Xiu Qin, and is shocked to see Shi Jie.

An idea strikes Fang Cao when Xiu Qin decides to hire a caregiver to take care of Shi Jie. She lies that she has prior experience in caregiving. Pei Pei agrees to let Fang Cao take care of Shi Jie temporarily, until the approval from the government is granted.

Yong Nian returns to the tailor shop at midnight to sew the incomplete cheongsam. Fang Cao worries about him and follows him.

Wen Hua's picture is uploaded online and its background is a columbarium. Fang Cao decides to head there. At a glance, Shi Jie knows that the picture is fake and reminds her not to fall for it.

Shi Jie and Fang Cao decide to fake their marriage, coming to an agreement that both of them have to keep it a secret till Fang Cao finds her sister.

Xiang Lan finds Fang Cao and hands her a bag of valuables to safekeep. She lies that her husband is in debt, abuses her and forces her to work. Fang Cao feels indignant and suggests to make a police report but Xiang Lan stops her and leaves in a hurry.

Shi Jie finds out that Xiang Lan's disappearance is linked to someone called Brother Xiao Chun'. He investigates with Shi Ming and finds that his guess is right. Brother Xiao Chun' is a pimp and Xiang Lan may be involved in illegal prostitution.

Fang Cao decides to venture into the tiger's den as she contacts Brother Xiao Chun' for money making opportunities.

Sheng Li sends Shan Shan home and they meet Ouyang Long at the void deck. He has a good impression of Sheng Li and invites him to their house only to find that Li Yin is not home.

Under Fang Cao's accompaniment and his effort put in rehabilitation, Shi Jie's physical abilities improve. He is no longer wheelchair-bound and can walk with crutches.

The facial masks that Shi Ming sells cause skin irritation and a female celebrity, Bella, sues him. He seeks Shi Jie's help.

Wen Hua returns from overseas and Xiang Lan's friend informs Fang Cao about it. Fang Cao and Shi Jie rush over and nab him.

Wen Hua seizes the opportunity and slips away. Shi Jie and Fang Cao decide to find Ouyang Long to inquire about Wen Hua.

Ouyang Long mistakes that Shi Jie and Fang Cao has come to talk about Shan Shan's matter and chases them away cruelly.

Osmand requests that Shi Jie handover the evidence he has given him then to testify against Sheng Li. However, he denies that he has the evidence and claims to not recall Sheng Li destroying it so Osmand is disappointed in him.

Suddenly, Shi Jie faints and is sent to the hospital. He contacts Shi Ming who rushes over. He informs Shi Ming about his relapse condition, asking him to keep it from Fang Cao and their parents.

Fang Cao witnesses Li Yin's condition relapsing and how she scolds Shan Shan for not being her biological daughter and attacks her.

Fang Cao worries about her mother's hospitalisation and decides to return to Vietnam to take care of her.
