Divorced Ling Xunxun crashes into CEO Cheng Li's car and becomes his special assistant. Despite harsh conditions, she persists and earns the job, hiding her child to secure it. As she navigates her demanding role, she must balance her secret past and growing feelings for Cheng Li.

Ling Xunxun must secure a British cosmetics agency in a week to keep her job. Avoiding asking her friend for help, she tracks down Eric, only to face harassment. After lying about recording it, she gets to meet Eric, who turns out to be Hui Yiwang, Zhou Quan's senior, and gives her a chance to pitch.

Cheng Li and Ling Xunxun visit the same hospital patient, Wen Shushu, his former housekeeper. Later, Cheng Li calls Ling Xunxun when the lights go out at the factory, admitting to night blindness. Hui Yiwang invites her to dinner, causing colleagues to gossip about her growing closeness with him.

Cheng Li thinks Dudu is Ling Xunxun's pet, and she doesn't correct him. After a boxing session, Cheng Li encourages Assistant Wang to resign. Ling Xunxun gets drunk at the factory, bonding with Mike, and confesses she has a child. The next day, embarrassed, she quietly prepares breakfast for Cheng Li.

Cheng Li and Ling Xunxun discover they attended the same school. Jin Hui, knowing Cheng Li's condition, offers to reconnect him with doctors. Ling Xunxun learns from Uncle Wen that Cheng Li's trauma caused memory loss and fear of dark spaces. Hui Yi Wang apologizes to Zhou Quan, but trust is still broken.

Ling Xunxun resigns after believing Cheng Li exploits Yingshu in a co-release deal. Later, she learns from an artist at a gallery that Cheng Li bought her painting for its tailored style, not her talent. This revelation helps Ling Xunxun understand Cheng Li's true intentions behind the partnership.

Ling Xunxun refuses to fix Cheng Li's TV, but it's done the next day. Cheng Minyu agrees to invest but mentions Ling Xunxun didn't take Cheng Li's job offer. Cheng Li feels uneasy seeing her thrive elsewhere. At a gala, he jokingly claims she's Cheng Minyu's illegitimate daughter, amusing her.

Wang Dong's farewell turns into a surprise party. Ling Xunxun watches with mixed emotions. Afterward, Wang Dong, drunk, asks Cheng Li who he likes - Jin Hui or Ling Xunxun. Cheng Li later proposes a merger, but Hui Yi Wang rejects it. He challenges Ling Xunxun to a basketball bet to lift her spirits.

Mike hosts a livestream, announcing he'll remove someone's makeup, causing panic until Ling Xunxun arrives. Cheng Li tries confessing at a staged basketball court, but Ling Xunxun sees through it. In Episode 10 of My Dear Lady, Ling Xunxun and Cheng Li continue to build their connection when they unexpectedly realize they attended the same high school. This shared past leads to nostalgic memories and a deepening bond between them. However, their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Jin Hui, who seems very familiar with Cheng Li's personal life - particularly his health issues.

Cheng Li confesses his feelings to Uncle Wen, unknowingly overheard by Ling Xunxun. She moves out but stays on as his assistant. Zhou Quan, upset by Mo Yun Yun with Hui Yi Wang, storms off. Later, after a power outage, Cheng Li kisses Ling Xunxun. The next day, they visit his father's grave, uncovering a secret.

Cheng Li and Ling Xunxun find Zhou Quan on their doorstep with a bear, feeling down. He stays the night, and Cheng Li jokes he should confront Mo Yun Yun. The next day, Zhou Quan stays at Hui Yi Wang's house but finds his 'advisors' distracted. He discovers Mo Yun Yun's bruises and her abuse.

Dudu sick, Xunxun rushed to hospital. Cheng Li brought breakfast, Dudu wary. Shaozu arrived, Cheng Li left. Bao's father inspected office, Mike defended her, embarrassed by the relation. Xunxun planned park, Cheng Li joined. Basketball bet, Cheng Li won, pirate ship bonded him & Dudu.

Cheng Li panics in a stalled elevator but is calmed by Ling Xunxun and Mike. Cheng Minyu advises against probing Cheng Li's past. At a bar, Zhou Quan is harassed, but Hui Yi Wang intervenes. Later, Zhou Quan finds a wedding ring, realizing Hui Yi Wang's feelings, and confides in Ling Xunxun.

Ling Xunxun follows a woman to a hospital and discovers Gao Wei's connection to Cheng Li. She learns they were classmates and that Gao Wei's accident coincided with the day she rescued two boys from a cave. Ling Xunxun uncovers Cheng Li's past, involving bullying and a traumatic accident.

Mike confesses his feelings to Bao Xiaojing after discovering she's the receptionist at Cheng Li's company. Cheng Li's therapy clears his guilt over Gao Wei's fall. A misunderstanding about Jin Hui's pregnancy is resolved. At Zhou Quan and Hui Yi Wang's wedding, Cheng Li proposes to Ling Xunxun.
