After a thrilling car chase, the leading car accidentally plunges into the sea, with a young woman, referred to as the young lady, falling into the ocean. Xu Xixi finally wakes up but finds herself completely unfamiliar with her doting father and the luxurious environment around her.

Following Xu Xixi’s successful performance, she catches the media’s eye. In a distant fishing village, the grocery store owner Ding Beifan recognizes her as his friend An Yue and wonders how she became the rich young lady "Xu Xixi" and debuted as a star. Ding Beifan searches for information and contacts the agent Tian Sui but is blocked, mistaken for a harasser.

While on a business trip, Xu Yongyu watches his daughter’s program and grows suspicious, knowing Xu Xixi never had a friend named Ding Beifan. Ding Beifan and An Yue plan to visit the fishing village where An Yue lived to find her memories. They try multiple times to shake off bodyguard Lu Jinyan and finally succeed, unaware it’s all part of Lu Jinyan’s plan.

Late at night, feeling profoundly lonely and missing her mother, An Yue suddenly finds an old phone left on the fishing boat by her mother. Lu Jinyan learns that Xu Yongyu is about to bring a professional medical team back to the country to conduct regular check-ups for his daughter, which could expose An Yue's true identity. He secretly asks his friend Jiang Tiancheng to investigate the medical team.

Tian Sui, Ding Beifan, and Jiang Tiancheng, who are staying at the villa, become anxious and try various methods to delay Xu Yongyu’s journey.

Xu Xixi proposes a plan to share her identity with An Yue, with An Yue attending all work events and performances on her behalf while Xu Xixi enjoys her freedom under Lu Jinyan’s protection. To avoid arousing Xu Yongyu’s suspicion, An Yue reluctantly agrees to Xu Xixi’s proposal. During their first identity swap, An Yue and Xu Xixi narrowly avoid suspicion with the help of their friends.

As Lu Jinyan and Xu Xixi confront each other, Xu Mengyun and Li Feizhang happen to pass by and are shocked to see another person identical to Xu Xixi livestreaming on their phone screens. Xu Mengyun immediately realizes why the previously tone-deaf Xu Xixi suddenly became an amazing singer—she might have a double.

Based on clues left on Jiang Tiancheng's phone before he fell into a coma, Lu Jinyan learns that Jiang Tiancheng had been tracking Dr. Zheng, the head of the medical team. Jiang Tiancheng uncovers the long-standing grudge between journalist Li Feizhang and Xu Yongyu, explaining why Li has always targeted Xu Xixi. After seeing the report, Xu Yongyu immediately orders its deletion to avoid alerting An Yue and making her more cautious.

Lu Jinyan sneaks into Xu Yongyu's study and, with Jiang Tiancheng's remote help, alters the system permissions to access the secret base. Meanwhile, An Yue uses a documentary-style live broadcast to keep Xu Yongyu occupied, allowing them to obtain the access they need. Before leaving, An Yue goes to bid farewell to Xu Xixi, and they have an honest conversation like sisters.

Xu Xixi and An Yue fall into unconsciousness under anesthesia. In the moment she loses consciousness, An Yue seems to see Xu Xixi bidding her farewell. Xu Xixi tells An Yue that while she couldn't choose many things, she can choose to leave with dignity and that she is glad to have met her.
