Peacock in Wonderland

During the envoy marriage ceremony, Hua Ni stumbles into Peacock City, disrupting the selection. She clashes with Ruan Jiu Shu and He Huan, but Li Mu Yang rescues her. Later, they meet again in town, sparking curiosity as they journey to Harvest Village.

Lai Mei becomes Hua Ni's attendant. At the rain ritual, Hua Ni falters, causing unrest, until the skies finally open. Her growing bond with Li Mu Yang sparks jealousy. But during the envoy succession, Li is marked by the Red-tailed Mantis, dragging Hua Ni into danger.

Forced to stay at Li's residence due to the Red-tailed Mantis, Hua Ni faces Li Cheng's suspicions, leading to comedic clashes. Meanwhile, Rong Yu sneaks in at night, finding Hua Ni asleep on the couch, while Du Mo Qian crafts a new weapon in secret.

Rong Yu stays to help her mother, while Li Mu Yang plots to escape her attention. On the road, Hua Ni is nearly abducted, while He Huan schemes again. At the Harvest Festival, a misunderstanding about Hua Ni's affection ends in laughter, but tensions linger.

Qing Jian gifts Hua Ni a jade pendant, provoking jealousy. Soon, children disappear across Peacock City. Hua Ni and Li Mu Yang set a trap to find the mastermind, but chaos erupts at Tian Xiang Lou, where their plan is spoiled by Lai Mei and A Qiang.

Li Mu Yang's nightmares resurface, soothed by Hua Ni. Disguised as captives, they uncover the true mastermind behind the child kidnappings - the Peacock Sect itself. Hua Ni tries to stop the sacrifice, but betrayal forces Li and allies to plan a daring rescue.

Hua Ni is captured by Qing Jian but, with allies, stages an illusion of the Peacock God to halt the ritual. She proposes reforms that win the people's support, sparking Ruan Jiu Shu's jealousy. He sends He Huan with her to Lisha Town to address the drought.

Hua Ni and Li Mu Yang secretly search for underground water. Beneath the stars, they share their pasts, drawing closer. Using clever explosives, Hua Ni solves Lisha Town's drought. Qing Jian's attentions toward her spark jealousy in Li Mu Yang, heightening tension.

Ruan Jiu Shu orders He Huan to harm Hua Ni. Rong Yu arranges a marriage with Li Mu Yang, but her schemes fail. Hua Ni is drugged, yet survives. Soon after, Rong Yu unexpectedly dies, leaving Du Mo Qian in sorrow and Li Mu Yang conflicted.

Hua Ni, Li Mu Yang, and A Qiang investigate strange happenings at the spirit hall. He Huan, ordered to tutor Hua Ni in etiquette, deliberately makes things difficult. Rong Yu drunkenly confesses love again, but is rejected, leaving Du Mo Qian disheartened.

Ruan Jiu Shu exposes Li Mu Yang and Hua Ni as tied to the assassin group. Pursued, they flee to a mountain cabin where Li, wounded, is tended by Hua Ni. Wanted posters spread across the city, forcing Lai Mei and A Qiang to disguise themselves.

Li Mu Yang tests Qing Jian, seeking proof of kinship, but finds none. Du Mo Qian's hidden role comes to light, while Rong Yu questions forged edicts. Jealousy and confession spark clashes between Li and Du Mo Qian, with Rong Yu secretly listening in.

Li Father secures an imperial decree for Hua Ni and Li Mu Yang's marriage. But Qing Jian disrupts the wedding, exposing himself as a pawn of darker forces. Li Mu Yang confesses the truth of his rebirth and urges Hua Ni to flee Peacock Sect.

Rong Yu struggles to keep Hua Ni for the nation but yields to her pleas. Hua Ni seeks to mend past regrets of Lai Mei and A Qiang. Qing Jian plots rebellion using the Flying Falcon Talisman but is thwarted when Li Mu Yang uncovers the scheme.

Qing Jian leaps from a cliff, faking his death. In the palace, Shu Ya enters to aid Rong Yu, but poison reveals Ruan Jiu Shu's plot. Hua Ni exposes Peacock Sect's crimes. Du Mo Qian grows suspicious of Rong Yu's bond with Shu Ya, deepening discord.

Du Mo Qian fails to kill Shu Ya, wounded by Rong Yu's coldness. He Huan is framed and falls from a cliff. Li Mu Yang is tricked by Qing Jian and imprisoned, forced to use roses to send secret messages. Hua Ni hides in a box to rescue him.

Qing Jian forces Hua Ni to take poison in exchange for Li Mu Yang's safety. Though weakened, she survives. Chen Mo clashes with Qing Jian, while unrest brews within the sect. Du Mo Qian secretly eases Rong Yu's pain with his quiet sacrifice.
