After three years of marriage, Seokmu and Hwiru decide to divorce due to clashing values. But even after separating, they struggle to stay apart. And Seokmu unexpectedly reunites with his ex, Yuyong.

Unable to tell their families about the divorce, Seokmu brings Hwiru back home and they agree to keep up appearances as a couple for now. Meanwhile, after witnessing Janghyen’s affair, Seokmu tries to confront him — but Yuyeong continues to act as if nothing has happened.

After the divorce, Seon-moo refuses to move out, leaving Hwiru frustrated but conflicted. Meanwhile, Hwiru grows closer to Yuyong’s husband, as they share their troubles — further complicating the relationships among the four.

After learning Hwiru’s true feelings, Seokmu struggles to be honest with himself, causing their rift to grow even deeper. Meanwhile, Hwiru is unable to let go of her feelings for Seokmu, leaving the two trapped in painful misunderstanding.

After leaving home, Hwiru runs into Yuyeong, who has also stepped out late at night, and the two head to karaoke together. Worried, Seokmu quietly follows them — while a hidden truth about Yuyeong’s marriage is revealed.

While visiting Hwiru’s hospitalized father, Seokmu and Hwiru end up taking a family photo with their unaware parents. Meanwhile, Misook finds out about their divorce due to a misunderstanding involving Si-ho.

Joining Yuyeong’s trip, Seokmu’s constant concern for her leaves Hwiru feeling uneasy. Meanwhile, Yuyeong and her husband decide to officially register their marriage — prompting Seokmu to question if she can truly forgive him.

Determined not to lose Yuyeong, Janghyeon tries to end his affair — but Yuyeong finally confronts him and pushes him away. Meanwhile, Seokmu misunderstands a moment between Hwiru and Siho, and his cold reaction leads to a fierce argument with Hwiru.

As Seokmu prepares to tell his family about the divorce, his sister’s sudden divorce announcement triggers a fierce fight with their father, turning the tension toward Seokmu himself. Meanwhile, Hwiru takes steps toward independence but faces harsh realities.

When Hwiru learns that Seokmu once dreamed of becoming a musician, she realizes how little she truly knew about him. Meanwhile, Janghyeon, unable to face home, returns with Seokmu’s help but Yuyeong remains distant.

As Janghyeon and Seokmu begin living together, Hwiru’s father finds out about the divorce, leading to a discussion with Seokmu. Meanwhile, Seokmu grows closer to Yuyeong, and Hwiru has an unexpected encounter with Janghyeon.

While drunk, Hwiru kisses Janghyeon but has no memory of it. As Seokmu and Yuyeong continue dating with growing guilt, tensions rise until the four finally come together to confront their complicated relationships.

Devastated by losing Yuyeong, Janghyeon falls from a rooftop and learns about their child while hospitalized, but his plea for forgiveness is rejected. Meanwhile, Hwiru celebrates the publication of her children’s book, but tension rises between Seokmu and the editor at the launch event.

Hwiru moves into the rooftop room filled with memories of Seokmu. Janghyeon reunites with his first love but reaffirms his feelings for Yuyeong. During a visit to Misook, Seokmu and Hwiru’s divorce is exposed, and a robbery incident leads Hwiruto realize Seokmu’s growth and be moved by his singing.

As Janghyeon tries to reassure Yuyeong, she pushes him away, saying, “Now it’s your turn to wait.” While Yuyeong talks with her mother about their painful past, Janghyeon suddenly shows up, confesses his affair, and sparks her mother’s fury.

After seeing Seokmu off, Hwiru spontaneously boards the train with him, and the two slowly start reconnecting. Meanwhile, Yuyeong and Janghyeon plan their wedding and ask Seokmu to sing, but Hwiru decides not to attend, choosing instead to participate in a children’s book fair in Italy.
