W: Two Worlds Apart

When her father goes missing, the daughter of a famous webtoon creator finds herself pulled into another dimension. Yeon-joo discovers that W, a webtoon created by her father, is a living world and saves the protagonist, Kang Chul.

A new episode of W is mysteriously uploaded, which depicts all of Yeon-joo's actions, including a full-page spread of her as a character. She theorizes that the webtoon contains an actual alternate universe. Later, Kang Chul considers Yeon-joo to be the key to his life.

Sung Moo, who had disappeared for a while, is back. Yeon-joo tries to figure out what has happened to her last night, but Sung Moo doesn't tell her anything. Meanwhile, Sung Moo starts drawing again to kill Kang Chul.

Yeon-joo gets stuck in the webtoon world for two months. Stuck in Kang Chul’s world, Yeon-joo realizes that she needs a dramatic event as a cliffhanger that can bring her back to her own world. At the department store, she kisses Kang Chul.

Su-bong starts to believe what Yeon-joo says about getting dragged into the world of W. Yeon-joo gets dragged into the webtoon once again, and Kang Chul takes her to his place. He starts to ask questions about her.

Kang Chul shoots Yeon-joo in the heart. But Yeon-joo does not get wounded. Kang Chul begins to think that Yeon-joo is from another dimension.

Kang Chul is confused about his series of inexplicable incidents and becomes suspicious of Yeon-joo, who seems to know everything about him.

Yoon So-hee, Chul's personal assistant, sets up an elaborate trap to have Yeon-joo arrested. Kang Chul demotes So-hee for her actions and visits Yeon-joo in prison. Yeon-joo reveals to Kang Chul that he is the main character of a webtoon.Knowing the truth, time in the webtoon stops, and Kang Chul steps through a portal into the real world.

On his way to Yeon-joo’s hospital, Kang Chul comes across an advertisement for a webtoon featuring himself. After some reading, he is in deep shock.

Sung-moo reveals to Kang Chul that there no one was responsible for killing his family; the killer was just a way of getting readers hooked to the webtoon. Enraged, Kang Chul shoots Sung-moo.

As Sung-moo recovers, Kang Chul commits suicide, leaving a suicide note with Yeon-joo. His actions get uploaded as the last issue of W, since Sung-moo decides to retire to New Zealand. Soon after, "the end" mark on the webtoon replaces itself with "To Be Continued."

Sung-moo tells Yeon-joo that she’s the reason that he cannot alter the webtoon’s ending by bringing Kang Chul back to life. Yeon-joo finds herself back in the prison where Kang Chul visited her. Kang Chul reawakens in his own world. But the mysterious killer in his world has entered Yeon-joo’s world.

Kang Cheol meets Yeon-joo and learns his revival was her idea. Distraught over being just a character, he rebukes Yeon-joo for saving him, but changes his mind when she says that she loves him.

Yeon-joo gets arrested in Kang Chul's world. Yeon-joo tells Kang Chul that they should create a new sequel on their own. Kang Chul decides to give up on catching the real culprit. The mysterious killer appears before Kang Chul and threatens to kill Yeon-joo.

When Yeon-joo’s hand starts bleeding unlike before, Kang Chul fears she may die. Meanwhile, the real killer points a gun at her in the real world.

As the mysterious killer shoots her, Yeon-joo transports back to Kang Chul’s world. Kang Chul tells her to forget all about him and draw the webtoon to make everything that has happened appear as merely a dream.

Sung-moo returns to Korea and decides to write a happy ending for W. He gives the murder his face and names him Han Sang-hoon. Sang-hoon causes a shooting at a TV station.

Yeon-joo gets dragged into the webtoon again, she meets Kang Chul in the emergency room, but Kang Chul doesn't recognize her anymore.

Yeon-joo realizes that in this new manhwa world, it’s the killer who controls the narrative. Yeon-joo tells Kang Chul everything about herself, but to her disappointment, he doesn’t remember her in any way.

Han Cheol-ho gets in trouble with the appearance of the real culprit. Yeon-joo treats Kang Chul’s wounds. As she kisses him, she’s transported back into her world.

Yeon-joo comes back to the real world and discovers that Sung-moo has lost his face. She finds out that the story was being drawn by the real culprit. Yeon-joo takes Sung-moo's tablet and starts drawing again to save Kang Chul.

Through Do-yoon, Yeon-joo reunites with Kang Chul. To her surprise, he says that he remembers drowning in the river. Kang Chul tells Yeon-joo that he read the webtoon that she left the last time she was in his world.

Kang Chul disassembles the tablet to prevent the killer from using it to enter Yeon-joo’s world. Kang Chul also finds out that he can summon himself back and forth the webtoon world and Yeon-joo’s world.

Kang Chul confronts the real culprit in Sung-moo's workshop. The real culprit says that Chul will soon cease to exist. Yeon-joo is stunned to see that one of the things that Kang Chul wants her to draw is a rotting corpse.
