Tara's wedding begins as her bhabhi burns every memory of her lover Suraj. At the mandap, Samrat promises to stand by her forever, making Tara decide to leave her past behind. After the wedding, their car breaks down near a Peepal tree. Samrat cuts its sacred RakshaSutra despite Tara's warning. A branch suddenly falls, narrowly missing him, while Tara unknowingly leaves her anklet behind.

Tara and Samrat sit in the car and leave but the peepal leaves follow them. Tara's grihapravesh takes place in Tribhuvan Bhawan and Tara and Samrat's room is decorated with dried peepal leaves which Samrat throws out. Samrat gives Tara a knife as a gift and says that both of them will have to prove their love by stabbing each other. Samrat ties Tara with a rope and throws the knife.

Samrat throws a knife at Tara, but she escapes unharmed. Terrified, Tara runs out as the family gathers. Samrat calms her, promising not to frighten her again. Meanwhile, his brother tells Tribhuvan that Tara should leave Samrat just like his first wife did. The next morning, during a family ritual, Tara learns the shocking truth from her mother-in-law-Samrat was married before.

Tara learns from her mother-in-law that Samrat's first wife left him. When Samrat tries to get close to Tara by force, a gust of wind carrying Peepal leaves pulls him away. Tara believes the strange events began after he cut the sacred RakshaSutra and vows to protect him. During her first rasoi, she's forced to wear a family bracelet as eerie Peepal leaves return.

At a party where Samrat presents Tara as his "Devi," Riya reveals Tara's past relationship with Suraj. Enraged, Samrat drags Tara home, locks all the doors and windows, and sends the family away. He strips off her jewelry, calls her characterless, and raises a whip against her. Outside, Leifman desperately struggles to get inside and stop the horrifying scene.

Samrat brutally whips Tara while the family remains silent, and Leifman fails to break in to save her. The next morning, Tara finds her wounds treated with ointment, but Samrat denies applying it. Later, her mother-in-law stops her from praying to God and instead makes her perform Samrat's aarti. Tribhuvan then orders Tara to sit before Lord Shiva alone to atone for her "sins."

While praying, Tara is stunned to see Suraj at the door and urges him to leave. Just then, Samrat arrives, but Suraj transforms into Leafman and disappears before he's seen. After Samrat leaves, Tara forces Suraj out.

At dinner, Samrat taunts Tara about her former lover and tests her loyalty. Tara insists she has left the past behind and passes his test, hoping things will improve, but Samrat remains cruel. Furious, Suraj steals a gun to confront him. The next morning, Samrat violently attacks a child over a family dispute until Tara intervenes, making him even angrier.

After Samrat storms out, Tara's mother-in-law brands her a bad omen. Soon, the family learns Samrat has survived a gun attack by Suraj. Doubting Tara, Samrat forces her to swear she wasn't involved. Suraj then appears disguised as a Baba and secretly reassures Tara that everything will be resolved by 8am.

At 8 a.m.Tara recalls Suraj's promise as he arrives at the house. Shocked, she points a gun at him, but Suraj introduces himself as Samrat's new bodyguard. Tara begs him to leave, yet he refuses until Samrat realizes Tara's true worth.

Samrat finds Tara covered in cow dung during a forced penance and leaves her standing outside. Suraj returns, remembers her allergy, and cleans her wounds. Tara warns Suraj to leave or she'll expose him to Samrat by 8 a.m. the next day. As Samrat arrives, the clock strikes 9, and Suraj transforms into a leaf before anyone can discover his identity.

It is Ilu's birthday. On Samrat's advice, Ilu asks Tara the name of her lover in his birthday gift. She does not tell him . Samrat tells her that she has to tell him the name by 8 o'clock. The birthday party is going on in which Suraj announces that Tara and Samrat will dance but Tara refuses but Samrat forcefully asks her to dance.

Samrat demands to know Tara's former lover and turns violent when she refuses. Suraj steps in, falsely claiming to be her lover to protect her, but later retracts the lie to save his family from disgrace. Frustrated, Tara sarcastically lists several "lovers" and goes to sleep. The next morning, Samrat forces Tara to return to her parents' home, determined to uncover the truth from her brothers.

Samrat forces Tara to accompany him to her parents' home, but she smears color on her face, insisting he reveal her past to everyone. Furious, Samrat breaks her mangalsutra. Suraj secretly gathers its scattered beads, while Sumitra warns Tara she must wear it again within three days or lose it forever.

Tara refuses to wear the mangalsutra repaired by Suraj. At home, Kajal humiliates her while Sumitra ties a bell around Tara's neck, reminding her she has only three days to wear the mangalsutra again. Meanwhile, a drunken Samrat refuses to return home. Tara goes to bring him back, but the two are suddenly attacked by a group of goons.

Goons attack Samrat, and Tara calls Suraj for help, but as the clock strikes 9, he transforms into leaves. Enraged by Suraj's name, Samrat defeats the goons himself. Back home, he recalls the mysterious Peepal leaves and gathers them in a sack. The next day, when Ravi doesn't report to work, Sumitra wants him fired.

For a sacred havan, Baba asks Tara to bring Peepal leaves. Her sari catches on the bag, causing the magical Leafman leaves to fly away while ordinary leaves remain. After the ritual, Suraj returns in human form and is nearly fired, but saves his job by exposing the goons who attacked Samrat.

Kajal tells Tara that Akhil and Rina are on their way. Unable to warn Suraj before Samrat arrives, Tara panics. Suraj disguises himself with a Santa mask to avoid recognition. At home, Kaushal saves Tara by claiming the bell around her neck is a symbol of devotion. Furious, Tribhuvan beats Kaushal, while Samrat heads to confront Suraj and uncover the truth.

Tara begs Akhil and Rina to hide the truth about Suraj, but Rina demands Tara's property in return. Samrat silences Tara before she can speak, and her family claims ignorance. Suraj secretly watches as Kajal nearly exposes him. Just as Akhil and Rina leave with signed property papers, Tribhuvan stops them at gunpoint.

Tribhuvan stops Tara's brother and sister-in-law while Samrat ties Tara up, forcing Suraj to help. Before Samrat checks Tara's phone, Suraj deletes his number. Samrat makes Tara watch her family being humiliated on TV, hoping she'll confess. Tribhuvan even has Tara's brother dressed as a kinnar. Unable to bear it, Tara calls Samrat, but Suraj stops her from revealing the truth.

Samrat finds Tara unconscious with leaves scattered across the room. Suraj recalls making her unconscious before turning into a leaf at 9 PM. Samrat sends Bhaiya and Bhabhi away. The next day, Sumitra gives Tara three hours to wear the mangalsutra before the Kuldevi Puja. Tara pleads with Samrat, but he humiliates her by making her beg for it before the family as Suraj watches helplessly.

Samrat insults Tara and says that he will not make her wear the mangalsutra. Kaushal comes and makes Tara understand after Suraj's persuasion. Tara now decides whether she will win or lose. She goes to the temple of Kuldevi and tells Samrat that either he makes her wear the mangalsutra or she will become a sadhvi.

All the family members oppose Tara becoming a Sadhvi. Suraj performs a Tandv and a leaf comes and touches all the family members and goes away and all calm down. Kaushal catches Samrat and starts making Tara a Sadhvi. Suraj enters Kaushal and stops Samrat. Before Tara's vermilion could be wiped off, Samrat stops the Sadhvi and makes Tara wear a Mangalsutra.

amrat mocks Tara by promising a "victory gift," forcing her to wear multiple mangalsutras before introducing Riya as his new bride. Tara is stunned to recognize Riya, the woman who exposed Suraj's truth. Despite Kaushal's anger, Samrat reveals Riya will help create Suraj's sketch. Later, as the sketch is drawn, Tara tries to escape, but Samrat stops her by threatening to set himself on fire.
