The indie band "Excellent Souls" once enjoyed immense popularity. Now the band has disbanded, and its members have gone their separate ways. Hanchul is a salaryman, and Gijun is studying for the civil service exam. Only the vocalist, Mingi, couldn't give up on his dream and continues making music by performing at small events. One day, Mingi receives news that his grandmother has passed away.©SBS

The band members, lured by a scheme to strike it rich with cabbages, head to Mingi's hometown, Hadurok Village. But Mingi's grandmother's house is falling apart. Even to prepare a meal, the nearest store is a 40-minute drive away. Starving, the four sneak into an apple orchard to steal fruit. ©SBS

The day of the village mascot appointment ceremony. They prepare another deer that had been staying inside the house instead of Cottori. However, it gets discovered and ruins the event. With the villagers' anger still boiling, Village Chief Yuni proposes that the four can stay if they compete in the sports festival and win. Amidst this, a woman named Suyeon arrives from Seoul.©SBS

With the power cut off, Mingi and the others slept by candlelight. But they accidentally knocked over a candle, starting a fire. Now homeless, the four pleaded with Uni to let them compete in the sports festival in exchange for a place to sleep and meals. On their way back to the countryside, Mingi and Hyuk search for a restroom for Yuni, who suddenly complains of stomach pain. One morning, Mang went out to his field and discovered all his ginseng had been stolen. Crops throughout the village had also been damaged. Uni decided to divide the team for night patrols, but she herself couldn't participate because she had injured her leg. So, when Mingi was driving around with Uni on his motorcycle, they spotted the thief. ©SBS

Yuni cooks pasta for Mingi. Though she made it with all her heart, Mingi ends up rushing off after receiving a call from Yuna. Yuni feels jealous seeing Mingi like that. Meanwhile, on the bus heading to the hospital in Seoul, Hanchul happens to be seated next to Suyeon. Suyeon seems so distressed she asks Hanchul for help.©SBS

Sanduk takes care of Mi-yeon's father, who has dementia, and her daughter for the sake of his ex-girlfriend Mi-yeon. There, he learns that Mi-yeon returned to her hometown after her business failed and is now struggling financially. Meanwhile, Mingi and the others lose the money they earned to cover the cost of plastic sheeting for their fields in an accident.©SBS

Uni and Hyuk went out to rent a tent, drank alcohol on the beach, and fell asleep in the car. Uni had planned to attend her father's class the next day but overslept. Meanwhile, the debt collector, Venom, realized the aphasic In-gi was his old bandmate and pressed him on why he ran away back then. In-gi confesses he feels guilty, believing his wife died after childbirth because of him.©SBS

One day, police raid a party where the scions of conglomerates gather, suspecting marijuana use. Among those taken into custody was Yuna, an idol. Though she was eventually released, she couldn't move due to the swarming media. Mingi rushed to the scene, took Yuna away, and brought her to Hadurok Village with him.©SBS

The residents of Hadurok Village are struggling to sell their apples. Uni suggests they participate in a singing contest to promote their apples. After auditions, San-woon is chosen, but an unexpected accident leaves him injured and unable to participate. Meanwhile, Sanduk and Mi-yeon spend the night together after drinking. ©SBS

Yuni is gradually drawn to Mingi. Frustrated that her dance practice isn't going well, she's irritated that Mingi keeps comparing her to Yuna. Amidst this, when Minho brings home a family portrait he drew that includes Mingi, she tells Mingi to leave her and her family alone. Meanwhile, Suyeon collapses after feeling unwell.©SBS

Suddenly, Minho's father, Lee Hyun-suk, appears before Yuni and Hong. Everyone learns the reason they had to part ways without revealing Minho's existence. Worried about Yuni, Mingi pays her more attention than necessary, but she rejects him, saying she doesn't need pity or sympathy. Meanwhile, Sunbun and Ingi get locked in the cold storage room.©SBS

During the winter, with nothing to do, Yuni comes up with a project to offer city dwellers a rural experience. However, she struggles with the villagers' complicated situations. Meanwhile, while nursing Suyeon, Hanchul had found a design collection and sent it to a manufacturer to have it made into clothing. Suyoung, thrilled that her design was chosen, kisses Hanchul on the cheek.©SBS

The price of napa cabbage has plummeted, leaving Mingi and the others utterly distraught. Still determined to sell, they head to Seoul with their cabbage. Meanwhile, Hanchul receives advice from Gijun to kiss her himself. When Hanchul invites Suyeon out for drinks, his true feelings slip out, leaving Suyeon utterly dumbfounded. Mingi, furious upon learning Hyun-suk had paid Yoon-i hush money to conceal his parentage with Min-ho, storms off to confront Hyun-suk. Mingi suddenly lunges at Hyun-suk and gets reported to the police. Meanwhile, Sang-eun, who calls himself the band's manager, suggests Mingi and the others change their name.©SBS

Mingi and the others are delighted that Yuna's intervention has allowed them to re-sign with the agency that fired them. Feeling uneasy, Hyuk overhears Yuna and the agency representative talking by chance. Mingi sees Yuna off as she leaves to start over in America. Meanwhile, the aide to the assemblyman tries to dig up the 5 billion won buried in Mingi's family's cabbage field.©SBS

Upon learning that Han-chul has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and given a terminal prognosis, Su-yeon begins fulfilling each item on his bucket list before he dies. Just then, they hear from his doctor that a miracle has occurred for Han-chul. Meanwhile, the 5 billion won incident catapults Min-gi and the others to sudden fame.
