After her grandmother's death, a resentful Sky is forced to move in with her mother and twin sister, Luna. With their help, she gets into Northford High, where she meets the wealthy, popular students Luna calls friends. The sisters eventually reconcile, but their happiness may be short-lived when a shocking tragedy rocks their family and Northford High.

Sky, Tania, and the entire Northford High mourn Luna's death. Lydia tries to convince the city governor it was not suicide, but he seems to be brushing it aside. Later, Sky finds disturbing videos on Luna's phone. She confronts Tania, only to be told to let it go. Undeterred, Sky remains determined to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Archie uncovers his father's secret, sending him into a tailspin.

Tania and Sky are surprised to discover that the latter's tuition has been paid. Through her new friends, Sky learns of Obet's connection to Luna and starts investigating him.
