Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!

Dennosuke Uchimura experiences a demotion and is sent overseas to live a mundane office worker life. However, one day, the Demon King from another world unexpectedly recruits him to be one of the Big Four! The Demon King offers a fervent invitation, but the other Big Four members are hesitant to accept him. To prove his worth, Dennosuke Uchimura must now undergo a challenging test.

Uchimura successfully passes the test and becomes one of the Big Four of the demon army. He receives great benefits, including his own private office, which greatly confuses him. Suddenly, he receives a new mission order to conduct merger negotiations with the Ogres! However, the leader of the Ogres is not only unwilling to negotiate but also demands that they bring the head of the Demon King.

Accompanying Ulmandra on a quest to subdue magical beasts, Uchimura witnesses firsthand the food crisis and the damage caused by the beasts. As Uchimura wracks his brain for solutions to the underlying issues of this world, his offhand remarks inadvertently infuriate Ulmandra! Uchimura wants to make amends with her, but is frustrated by his lack of understanding of the conventions of this world.

The Demon King tasked Uchimura with developing a technology to bridge the divide between demons and demihumans by allowing everyone to use magic. Uchimura sought help from Sylphid, a member of the Big Four known for magic research, only to discover that the technology already existed but was not feasible for mass production due to cost constraints.

Uchimura decided to take a more proactive approach in facing the challenges of the another world. He went to the market with Urmander to gather information and address the issues the demon army was currently facing. While at the market, a couple who owned a shop asked for help from Uchimura. To assist the couple with their problem of excess inventory, what solution did Uchimura teach them?

Uchimura goes to the Rampage Kingdom, also known as the Land of Gold, in order to help the demon army overcome their financial troubles. Despite dealing with the demanding king of Rampage, he manages to pitch the Rosemaryn product. However, after receiving a difficult order from the king, Uchimura and his team work hard to fulfill it, only to have all the orders suddenly canceled.

The order was canceled because a product similar to Rosemaryn has become available on the market at half the price. Uchimura is in a difficult situation, facing more challenges. Villagers are unhappy with the original Rosemaryn products as they are not working properly. Upon investigating, Uchimura finds out that the previously installed Rosemaryn units have been stolen.

The cost of gimu, a basic food, has gone up a lot, making people hungry. Uchimura is trying to solve this problem and thinks the guild might be controlling the supply of gimu. He goes to see the guild boss, Viper, with Sylphid, but they are quickly sent away. Then, a girl who works at the guild tells Uchimura about her struggles and starts crying.

After the temporary supervision of the guild failed, Uchimura's next strategy was to distribute the Smoked Wyvern to various regions to solve the food shortage problem! However, the spy sent by Viper, and Nair also informed Viper about this operation. Each side employs its own tactics. Who will ultimately emerge victorious, Uchimura or Viper?

The disaster has befallen. The Big Four of the Demon Army are mobilized! Sylphid was dispatched to investigate, while Uchimura and others headed to the army's largest fortress, Demon Fort. However, upon seeing the demon and demihuman soldiers responsible for intercepting Wyverns, Uchimura told Genome that this fortress would fall within days.

Urmander fought against the Wyverns, using up a lot of energy and becoming unable to continue the battle. At the same time, the demon army, constantly under attack by the Wyverns, started to tire out and fall into a difficult situation. To try and change the situation, Uchimura stayed up for several nights thinking of strategies.

After successfully thwarting the disaster, the Big Four were lauded for their remarkable achievements. During this time, the Dark King issued a command: "Become the king of the new era." Stricken by self-doubt and feeling unworthy of such a role, Uchimura spiraled into despair, his mind haunted by the lingering psychological scars from his former life as a salaryman.
