I'm Standing on A Million Lives

When Yusuke Yotsuya wonders how the model student, Iu Shindo, and the ever-so-sick, Kusue Hakozaki, get along with each other, he gets transferred to another world. Between Shindo who can only manipulate wind, Hakozaki who is a warrior who can't wield her sword, and Yotsuya whose weapon is just a sickle and a hoe, they face a troll.

Shindo and Hakozaki are devoured by the troll and cannot be revived. Fighting alone, Yotsuya ranks up and becomes a Chef. He uses his Chef's skills to save his friends and defeats the troll together. As a reward, they are allowed a glimpse into the world after they complete their tenth quest. The sight reminds Yotsuya of something.

Game Master gives Yotsuya the quest to hit on a certain girl. He sneaks into the girls' bathroom of a high school and saves Yuka Tokitate, who is being bullied. Tokitate becomes the 4th member. In the foreign world, the meek Tokitate grows envious of the beautiful and powerful Shindo. However, Shindo also has a dark past...

The group begins their next quest and heads west to the village, Radorpo. Shindo is captured by bandits during their journey. Hakozaki and Tokitate want to save her but Yotsuya wishes to move ahead. The group split up. To obtain a horse, Yotsuya participates in a martial arts tournament in Cortonel. He meets a female knight, Kahabell.

With Kahabell's help, Yotsuya rescues his friends. Kahavell agrees to join the group to Radorpo as long as the immortal group learns swordsmanship from her. They run into Goblins and get into a battle. Realizing her powerlessness and incompetence are weighing her friends down, Hakozaki finds the courage to kill a goblin.

Yotsuya and friends save a group from Kobolds. They are soldiers from the Kingdom of Deokk and their mission is to transport and execute the heretics in Radorpo. Yotsuya and his group fail to understand the objective of the soldiers' mission but they travel to Radorpo with them and the heretics.

Distrustful of Yotsuya and his group, the Deokk corporal, Kamilto, sets them up and leaves them in a cave with an ancient mechanism. Yotsuya splits with the group and the rest faces a gargoyle with Kahabell. Kahabell is defeated by the gargoyle and the group despair. Shindo reaches level 10 and becomes Warrior (Sword). They manage to defeat the gargoyle.

After the ordeal in the cave, the group splits into two to catch the Deokk soldiers and complete their quest. Yotsuya, Tokitate, and Kahabell follow Kamilto's team in secret. However, if they get into a fight, the Kingdom of Deokk might declare war on Kahabell's hometown, Cortonel. Yotsuya decides to use another strategy.

Yotsuya's strategy leads the group to rescue the heretics and Kahabell avenges her dead comrade, Bihmsberg. Shindo and Hakozaki are looking for the cargo bound for Radorpo while Yotsuya and the heretics get ready for the trip. In their journey to Radorpo, Tokitate, noticing the relationship between Yotsuya and Kahabell, does something to pair them up.

Yotsuya and friends split with Kahabell after delivering the cargo to Radorpo safely. To complete the next quest - cover 5% of the map - the group departs in four directions. It is a simple quest but a sudden blizzard gets in the group's way.

Time passes as the blizzard continues to hinder the group's progress. If they die to the cold, they can't revive if the weather does not improve. The group grows frustrated. Yotsuya falls into an underground maze; Shindo inadvertently ventures into a frozen lake of thin ice; Hakozaki is stuck in a pickle. One falls after another until the only one left is Tokitate, who considers giving up.

As her quest reward, Tokitate asks the Game Master if this world is a virtual world. Game Master says this world is an alternate universe. Upon hearing this is a real world, Yotsuya's act of killing haunts him. Back in the reality, the Game Master turns into a young girl and appears before Yotsuya. She wants him to meet the next player.

Under the Game Master's quest guidance, Yotsuya stops a murder in a Chinese restaurant and saves Keita Torii, a teenager who wants to kill a drug dealer. Keita becomes the 5th member. They are sent to the Isekai and the 5th quest begins. To obtain leads, they head to Cortonel and find Kahabell, who is now a mother. It's been 15 years since the 4th quest and many things have changed.

The Game Master tells Yotsuya that his quest is to make the harvest festival of Jiffon Island a success. However, the stranded orcs on the island are hoarding Buffo, the offering for the festival. The increasing orc population also threatens the islanders. Yotsuya trains hard in preparation for the harvest festival, which will take place in 11 days, and manages to become a Blacksmith.

After becoming a Blacksmith, Yotsuya develops two weapons against orcs, one melee and one ranged. Although they fend off the orcs, Yotsuya notices that the orcs learn to use ranged attacks from this battle. His friend, Ryce, also dies in this battle. In Jiffon Island, the humans and the orcs suffer great casualties and the climax is on the horizon.

To prepare for the final battle, Yotsuya prepares boats for the children and women to escape. The Orc Queen targets them so Shindo and Cantil intervenes. In this battle, Lolle dies, Katz is heavily wounded, and Thanzamer goes missing. Amidst the battle, the earth shakes beneath them and a volcano on Jiffon Island erupts. Unbeknownst to Yotsuya and his friends, this is just the beginning.

The tsunami comes after the volcano eruption. The survivors seek shelter in the city. To attract the orc's attention, Aoiu says something in the orc's tongue and Candil seizes this opportunity to take it out. The Orc Queen survives and finds the boat human children board. Seeing the ravaged Jiffon Island, the Orc Queen tries to escape with her children. However, Shindo stands in their way.

Shindo and Thanzamer manage to defeat the Orc Queen. Yotsuya also uses the orc children to defeat the invading orcs. Right after the threat of orcs is no more, another dragon appears. Seemingly absorbing the life of the islanders, the dragon is too strong for Yotsuya and his group. They save a Dragon Bishop disguised as an islander. That's when they know the true enemy here is not the orcs.

After completing the 5th quest, Yotsuya returns to his hometown. A woman called Glenda tells him that she is aware of the Isekai and there are at least 3 more people who have been there. Together with past explorers, Yotsuya plans to capture the view in Isekai. After he uploads the video, the Game Master reappears and announces the beginning of the 6th quest.

Yotsuya goes on another adventure to complete the 6th quest. He rescues a young girl, Jezzbe, who is attacked by monsters, and escorts her back to her village. To protect the village and finish the quest, Yotsuya and Glenda visit the village chief's home at the suggestion of the chief's granddaughter, Iris. They think Coques might have kidnapped the village chief.

In the now locked-down village, Coques enjoys the peace and tries to get rid of the group. Suddenly, everyone hears a monster's howling. A horde of monsters attacks the village under a mysterious figure's command. Unable to defend the village, Yotsuya and the villagers decide to abandon it.

Escaping the village, Yotsuya and his group run into another band of travelers. They are exiled villagers in search of a utopia called "New Eden". Those people manage to survive despite their exile. As the monsters approach, Yotsuya and the villagers continue their journey.

After meeting with the exiled villagers, the group grows exhausted from their journey. This reminds Yotsuya of something in Jiffon Island. Someone rescues Yotsuya when he is ambushed by the monsters. The group finds out the person is tracking the Dragon Bishop. The culprit is inching closer and so is the truth behind the berserk monsters.

Glenda figures out the real identity of the Dragon Bishop who has been working in the dark. She reveals the Bishop's identity and the Bishop admits to having orchestrated everything. The Bishop also confesses that she is carrying out the Blood Ritual to look for the hidden village. That's why she approaches Yotsuya and his group. The battle between the Dragon Bishop and Yotsuya begins.
