When the billionaire Aaron Tarsky goes missing while out fishing at sea with his young wife Sheryl, DD and his team are called in by his family to figure out what happened. DD will realize that the truth is rarely as it seems and solving the case will reveal a hint to another truth he's seeking.

An old Jewish woman dies while staying at Villa Costiera, and her son Richard flies from New York to take her body back home for proper burial. It's DD and his team's job to make that happen, arranging the transfer in a race against time. In the meantime, DD, in his search for Alice, will start piecing the puzzle together, finding the name of the guy in the picture with her: Bruno.

A woman from Daniel's past shows up in need of his help. It's April Mackenzie, a fellow Marine who lost a bracelet containing sensitive data. DD and his team must find out where the bracelet is and how to get it back before word gets out and April gets in trouble. He will also track down Bruno and confront him with the burning question: Where is Alice?

A boy named Hassan seeks Daniel at the hotel. As Daniel protects him, he finds Alice's location but arrives too late, someone beat him there.

Thieves hold Alice, planning a jewelry heist at Villa Costiera. Daniel manipulates Bruno to find her location, but the rescue takes a shocking turn.

Daniel plots with Alice's family to trade a necklace for her freedom. When the auction spirals out of control, he must rely on his risky backup plan.
