A highly unusual murder case lands on Jin Jeong’s desk. As he begins to investigate, he notices something suspicious. Breaking all the conventional rules of prosecution, he dives deeper into the case. But just as he starts gaining ground, public backlash and pressure from superiors force the investigation to a sudden halt.

Jin Jeong is reassigned to the Civil Affairs Division—mockingly called the “garbage disposal office.” There, he meets Park Jae Kyung, a prosecutor who was once as reckless as Jin Jeong himself. While handling mundane complaints, Jin Jeong stumbles on a clue linked to the Seocho-dong murder. Teaming up with Shin Ara, he sets out to find the true mastermind.

Jin Jeong refuses to back down and goes after Deputy Chief Prosecutor Lee. In a bold move, he reveals crucial evidence at Lee’s inauguration, stopping his promotion and placing him under suspicion. Still lacking definitive proof, Jin Jeong sets out to uncover it—using his trademark unorthodox methods.

Deputy Chief Prosecutor Lee falls to his death. Though initially ruled a suicide, suspicious circumstances lead Jin Jeong to demand a second autopsy. It’s revealed that Lee handed over a yellow envelope before his fall. As Jin Jeong investigates further, unexpected challenges arise.

Accused of Lee’s murder, Jin Jeong is arrested by Oh Do Hwan but escapes with help from allies. Determined to find the truth, he goes to Club Vertigo, a key location tied to the case. There, he obtains a drug ledger naming Lee’s killer and entrusts it to Shin Ara—but the plan unravels.

After finding Jin Jeong injured, Shin Ara takes him to Park Jae Kyung’s house. He recovers without hospitalization. The team begins investigating Oh Do Hwan as a key suspect, and Ara uncovers something suspicious in the client list.

Jin-jung targets the medical examiner responsible for the falsified autopsy report. Aware of his intentions, District Head Kim instructs Prosecutor Oh to stop Jin Jung before he can act.

Jin-jung successfully puts District Head Prosecutor Kim Tae Ho behind bars, but the mastermind behind everything remains unknown. He then sets his sights on Tae Hyung Wook, the chief secretary of Law Firm Kangsan, whom he suspects of murdering Deputy Chief Lee.

Jin Jung arrests Tae Hyung Wook, but she refuses to talk. Prosecutor Oh, now working with Seo Hyun Kyu, acts as her lawyer to silence her. Believing all current events trace back to Park Ye Young’s murder, Jin Jung starts digging into Kim Hyo Jun, the deliveryman who confessed.

After hearing the truth from Jae Kyung, Jin Jung comes to suspect Seo Hyun Kyu’s involvement in his father’s death. Despite Jae Kyung’s plea to drop the case, Jin Jung is determined to take Seo Hyun Kyu down. At the same time, he recalls that the MP3 player once belonged to his father and starts trying to access its files.

Park Jae Kyung’s death leaves Jin Jung devastated. Convinced that Seo Hyun Kyu is behind it, he dives headfirst into the case. As he uncovers crucial evidence linking Seo to the murder, Jin Jung turns to Kim Tae Ho for backup. Together, they prepare to take down Seo once and for all—but the path to justice is more dangerous than ever.

With Oh Do Hwan’s help, Jin Jung secures the evidence to finally put Seo Hyun Kyu on trial. Confident, Jin Jung grills him in court—but Seo remains unfazed. Just when it seems Seo might slip away, Jin Jung calls a surprise witness no one saw coming, shaking the courtroom and shifting the entire course of the case.
