Further, when Couran asks Mireille for a strategy, she somehow seeks Rosell's opinion.

To secure the alliance of Paradille, Ars' team seeks the mediation of Summerforth. As they set out for this negotiation, Lenge, son of Couran, appears, accompaning them to Imperial City. There, Chacma, welcomes Ars' team. While Licia, with her high political acumen, engages in high-level negotiations with the formidable Chacma, an unguarded remark by Leng ruins the situation.

Lenge disagrees with Ars's method and disappeared. Then finally appears on the negotiation day with Paradille. Despite lingering uncertainties, the negotiations begin, and Lenge plays a crucial role, securing Paradaille for Couran. Ars' team begin their assault on Samuc Castle. They soon discover that the command is the strategist Tomas, Vasmarque's right-hand man. Rosell then assigns Famme a mission. Meanwhile, Tomas installs explosive magic catalyzer to the castle, planning to obliterate it. As Samuc's governor Fredor surrenders and Couran and his allies enter the castle, Tomas attempts to blow it up, but―

After conquering Samuc, Ars' team grants a brief respite. While exploring Samuc, Ars notices an anomaly in "Appraisal Skill." During this time, Couran forces decide to invade Verzud, one of major cities. Ars, tasks by Couran with conquering Castle Rolto, attempts to strategically take down Fort Valdsen guarding the castle, as suggested by Rosell.

The Cannare army and Clamant's remarkable performance at Castle Staatz rapidly lead to surrender. Suddenly, notorious "Braham Joe" of Castle Staatz appears and engages in a duel with Rietz. After Rietz's stunning victory, Joe's attitude drastically changes, and surprisingly requests to become a disciple. Thus, Ars' team successfully captures Castle Staatz and received high praise from Couran.

Ars' team begin their move to capture the stronghold of Verzud, Verzud Castle. Meanwhile, Tomas, who has no options left after defeat, swears loyalty to Vasmarque and heads to the battlefield. Tomas harbors a fierce obsession with this battle due to his tragic past with Mireille. Couran members, after war councils, conclude that the Verzud's goal is to buy time decideing they must invade at once.

The final battle to capture Verzud Castle is underway. Ars' team see through the enemy commander Tomas' plan and are planning a full-scale attack. But, Tomas has further traps. Just before the attack, Rosell notices the possibility of traps and narrowly avoids disaster. With Tomas’ plan fails and no options left, he desperately attacks Couran, but Reitz deflects it, bringing the battle to an end.
